A desk is one of the fundamental furniture people have been used for a long time. It is furniture that is constantly evolved with human history. Though the main purpose of a desk doesn’t differ much throughout time and places, the tools people use on top of it are countless.
The concept of ‘Lattice table’ tries to revisit the design of the office desk in this perspective. Tools people have been used in the office have been changed greatly especially after the boom of IT devices. People still use pen and paper but a major part of office work happens using computing devices with screens. The usual scene of now day’s office desk involves power cables, charging cables, and occasionally extra stands for cooling or better viewing angle. Inspired from lattice works from many different cultures this work tries to embrace the desk scene of 2015.
